Working with the fabulous Jennifer Winzeler of Carna, LLC., has been my first foray into the world of Pilates. Reflecting on the past several months together, many changes in my fitness level are evident. This program has infinitely increased my overall wellness; Pilates is not just a physical workout, it works to create an awareness of how your mind and body are connected. It’s easier to transfer your Pilates work to your daily activities when you are conscious of your entire physical system.
Thanks to Pilates, I’m much more aware of my posture and the core muscles that impact how I move throughout the day. As I approach the next age bracket I’m discovering that Pilates is a perfect way to be proactive in staying healthy, strong and balanced.
Jennifer does a wonderful job of motivating and encouraging her students and continually strives to have each of us reach our peak potential. It’s evident that she’s genuinely invested in each of us and that makes a big difference between a basic exercise class and a Carna Pilates program.

Pilates has made me more aware of my posture and how it has affected me at work or just sitting in the car. In my profession standing most of the day is very tiring and after the classes with Jennifer I even feel healthier after a full day at work just by being aware of my posture.

After one on one instruction with Jennifer I found a significant difference in my Pilates practice. The level that individual coaching/instruction gives you is beyond what you can get online or through a DVD. And while I enjoyed and received value from the group class as well, the individual instruction is where my growth came, on a monumental level. Through Pilates and its subsequent core strengthening I’ve bettered my posture which has in turn bettered my running.
